lioness-of-the-leaf asked:

NaruHina #2 from Friendly + #4 & #6 from Flirty. If you would be so kind. If you can't that's fine too.

(Alright so it’s been FOREVER since I’ve watched/read Naruto so please forgive me for using my old impressions and the probably incorrect…ness of them n’ stuff. ;_; I’ll write one story from one line for now, okay?)

#4 - Wind in the village hidden in the leaves was sweet, clean. When seasons cooled and the air became crisp, the children of the village were released from classes early to enjoy the season. The fresh scent in the air, usually accented with a hint of whatever food nearby vendors produced, signaled a time for coming festivals, pleasure, and satisfaction for everyone.

A young Hinata drew in a breath deeply, slowly. She adjusted the strings on her favorite jacket (the one she was told she would grow into, as it was too large for her small frame) and gently tightened her hood around her neck. The sensation of closeness brought her comfort, especially as she watched kids her age run past her from the school building and into the yard below, ready to enjoy the rest of the day. Hinata waited until they had all gone to begin her trek home. She didn’t play with the others. She was too shy. Because of this, many of the other students assumed she was stuck up, or untrustworthy. She might have tried to be more open had some of her classmates been more friendly, but as things were now, she was a bit…Lonely.

So, she often played by herself. She’d have prefered company, but had to make her own. Hinata’s favorite place was by a small lake only a few blocks from her home. Fishers and swimmers frequented the place during the warm season, but when the weather was cool the banks bared their soft grasses and the water went undisturbed. Hinata picked flowers here, putting them in her hood and carrying around their scent. Sometimes she made little crowns, and sometimes she stuck them in her hair. She loved the feel of their soft petals against her skin, and treasured them as she knew that soon they would all be burred underneath ice  and she would not be able to see them for a long time.

Hinata twisted together an exceptional little wreath of flowers, She’d never made one so well before. She stuck them on her head, and then she thought about what it would be like to be a princess. Princess Hinata of the flowers. She giggled, standing, and gently moving around her jacket as if it were a long, flowing dress. She twirled around-

And saw a kid staring at her from  behind a tree.

Her breath caught in her throat. She heat rise to her cheeks as the kid noticed that she’d caught sight of him. He smiled, shrugged, and waved at her before heading her way. As he came closer, she recognized him. Messy, yellow hair, weird markings on his face… He was the kid everyone talked about! Everyone was supposed to stay away from him..Right? She wasn’t sure if he was dangerous, but the thought made her knees weak as he came closer and closer.

"Hey! How’s it going?" He greeted her.

Hinata didn’t say anything. She didn’t know what would happen if she spoke to him. Would she get in trouble? Would he hurt her? She looked over his shoulder, wondering if she could run fast enough to get away from him.

The other waited for her to respond, all the while his smile fading into an awkward grimace. He clenched and un-clenched his fist when he saw her looking away from him, and tried again. “Um, I like your flower crown.”

Hinata gasped, and reached quickly up to her head, where the object still sat, Her face flushed even more as she covered her head with her puffy sleeves in her embarrassment.

"My name’s Uzumaki Naruto. What’s yours?" Naruto grinned, thrusting his thumb at himself as his blue eyes sparkled.

Hinata blinked at him, her arms brought slowly down to her sides. She wondered for a moment if this really was the same boy that she was supposed to be wary of. He didn’t seem dangerous….And he was talking to her, which was more than she could say for any of the other children she knew.

A small, but honest smile appeared on her face. She bowed in respect. “H-Hinata…” She whispered.

Naruto had scratched his head. “What did you say? Are you shy? Don’t be shy.”

"Hinata." She said, this time with more confidence.

"Huh, that’s a cute name! Hey, Hinata, I was gonna go skip rocks, you wanna come with me?"

After a moment of thought, she looked down. Kicking the grass, she mumbled something. Naruto cocked his head, and so she tried again. “Um, why are you talking to me? Nobody ever talks to me.”

The boy smiled, taking her hand in his and began leading her to his spot. “Aw, don’t mind me. I just like making new friends!”

(the end. sorry for my shitty writing!)

Don’t watch if you haven’t seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet but I can only tell you this; all of the Marvel movies over the past few years have been all leading up to this guy’s triumphant return to the big screen…

Yo Pataki is a re imagining of the Hey Arnold characters as young adults. The series (hypothetically) would center around a 26 year old Helga Pataki who is now a bartender works at the family owned business, Big Bob’s Cafe.

American oil painter Donald Roller Wilson combines the polished realism of the Old Masters with a cast of eccentric anthropomophized animal characters, including dogs, cats and plenty of primates - many of whom are smokers - to create awesome pop surrealist portraits. His regular characters include Cookie the Baby Orangutan, Jane the Pug Girl, Jack the Jack Russell “Terror,” Loretta the Actress Cat, Miss DogAmerica, and Patricia the Seeing Eye Dog of Houston.

According to the New York Times, “Donald Roller Wilson’s goofy, hallucinogenic, Old Master-style painting of monkeys, dogs and cats dressed up in antique costumes may be kitsch, but it’s high-quality kitsch, like good beach reading.”

One of our favorite things about his paintings is that Donald Roller Wilson creates a brief narrative for each of them, much like Travis Louie (previously featured here) does for his own ever-expanding cast of characters.

We recommend visiting Donald Roller Wilson’s online gallery to view many more of his wonderfully strange paintings and read the stories that go with them.
